Pulmera brings together physicians, engineers, and medical imaging experts with decades of experience advancing image-guided care. Having worked firsthand in procedural environments, our team understands both the clinical value of advanced intraoperative 3D imaging and the infrastructure, workflow, and capital barriers that have limited its adoption. That insight drives our commitment to helping hospitals expand access to advanced 3D imaging, bringing it to more operating rooms, more procedures, and ultimately, more patients.

Kevin McGann
Chief Executive Officer
Kevin is a seasoned executive with 30 years of extensive experience in the medical device industry with a primary focus on commercial execution, strategic leadership and the development of high performing teams. Kevin has extensive experience scaling and commercializing enabling technologies in orthopedics and spine, including senior commercial leadership at Stryker and most recently serving as CEO of Accelus, where he led growth, commercialization, and strategic positioning of the unique expandable spinal implant technology portfolio. Kevin spearheaded the acquisition of Accelus to Highridge Medical/HIG Capital, closing early September 2025. He has also held senior leadership roles at Lumenis, Medtronic and Kyphon, contributing to the development and adoption of advanced surgical technologies.
Bryan Hartley, MD
Chief Product Officer
Dr. Bryan Hartley is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Pulmera. He was Pulmera’s CEO until 2026. Bryan is a fellowship trained interventional radiologist, with extensive experience with diagnostic radiology and image-guided procedures. Bryan completed his medical education, residency, and fellowship from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. After completing his training, he stayed on faculty at Vanderbilt for a year as a clinical instructor in diagnostic and interventional radiology before being accepted to the Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship.
Harmeet Bedi, MD
Chief Medical Advisor
Dr. Harmeet Bedi is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Advisor of Pulmera. He is also a board-certified interventional pulmonologist and Director of Interventional Pulmonology at Stanford University. As an interventional pulmonologist, Harmeet’s clinical practice predominantly focuses on the diagnosis and management of malignant and benign diseases within the lungs through minimally-invasive techniques utilizing intraoperative 3D imaging. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship from Loma Linda University. Harmeet completed an additional fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology from Henry Ford Hospital. Having a strong passion for medical device innovation, he also completed the Biodesign Faculty Fellowship at Stanford University.
Nicolas Robert
Chief Technology Officer
Nico is an accomplished R&D engineering leader with over 2 decades of experience driving innovation and operational excellence in the medical technology sector. With a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams, he has led complex software initiatives, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery. Prior to Pulmera, Nico was the Director of Software at Auris (acquired by Johnson & Johnson) and oversaw a department of 60+ engineers. His career also includes leadership roles at Auris Robotics and GE Healthcare, where he contributed to advanced imaging and robotics, solidifying his reputation for delivering impactful solutions in critical medical applications.
Matt McGirt, MD
Director of Orthopedic Product
Development & Strategy
Dr. Matt McGirt is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive to complex spinal reconstruction at Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates (CNSA), the largest neurosurgery practice in the US. Additionally at CNSA, Matt is the Chief Development & Strategy Officer. Matt has over 20 years of experience in medical devices, software, and radiology. He is also the Founder & General Partner at Mammoth Venture Capital and has served as a board member/consultant to a dozen public/privately held MedTech companies. Matt graduated from Duke University School of Medicine for his medical education and from Johns Hopkins for his Neurosurgical Residency and Spinal Surgery Fellowship.
Rex Kerr
Senior Principal Engineer
With a passion for medical device software, Rex has nearly 30 years of experience delivering successful product releases in treatment planning, image guided therapy, and robotics. Having worked on devices for a variety of specialties and possessing a broad range of technical skills and expertise he brings this knowledge to bear at Pulmera. Prior to Pulmera Rex has been a part of such teams as Philips’s Image Guided Therapy group, Johnson and Johnson’s Robotics and Devices, and a variety of pre-clearance early phase startups.
Jérémie Bourrut
Senior Software Engineer
Prior to joining Pulmera, Jérémie worked for Johnson and Johnson – MONARCH, an endoscopic robotic platform for bronchoscopy and urology. At JnJ he helped develop software and build extensive end-to-end test automation frameworks. He collaborated on several software releases leading to successful 510(k) clearances. Earlier in his career, he worked on characterization techniques for 3D stereo cameras, computer vision implementation, and image processing algorithm development. Jeremie holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Bordeaux, France.
Richard Leparmentier
ADVISOR
Richard is a seasoned executive in the medical technology field with extensive experience in research and development. Richard is currently the GM of at Telos Health and has held several prominent roles including Vice President of R&D at Bionaut Labs and at Auris Health. His leadership at Auris contributed to the development of the first robotic platform in Endoscopy, culminating in a successful acquisition by Johnson & Johnson. Prior experience includes positions at Stryker/Mako and GE Healthcare, where Richard oversaw significant advancements in robotics and surgical product development. Richard holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Leadership from NYU Stern School of Business and degrees in Engineering from Télécom Paris and École Polytechnique.
Dwayne Free
ADVISOR
Dwayne is a licensed respiratory care practitioner at Stanford Healthcare and has been practicing for over 25 years. He was instrumental in creating the Interventional Pulmonology Program at Stanford University in 2013. He has extensive experience with endoscopic robotics, bronchoscopy, and intraoperative 3D imaging workflows. Dwayne has advised numerous medical device companies on device use & workflows, program operations, and medical device training/education.
