Charlotte, N.C. — OCTOBER 6, 2026 — Pulmera today announced that its CBeam™ 3D Imaging Platform has been used in more than 50 surgical procedures within two months of launch, bringing C-arm native 3D imaging to spine and foot and ankle surgery using compatible C-arms hospitals already own.

Clinical use began in August with spinal procedures performed by surgeons at Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates at Atrium Health’s Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., followed by foot and ankle cases at OrthoCarolina’s Foot and Ankle Institute. Since then, CBeam has been used in more than 50 procedures. This month, Pulmera is expanding CBeam’s clinical use to additional sites and orthopedic trauma service lines.

“Surpassing 50 surgical procedures in just two months is a significant milestone, and the feedback from surgeons makes it especially meaningful,” said Kevin McGann, President and CEO of Pulmera. “Our surgeons are telling us that the ability to evaluate anatomy in three dimensions can provide important information about alignment, correction, and implant position before the procedure is complete. Hearing that firsthand while seeing this pace of utilization is exactly the kind of early progress we’re proud to celebrate.”

The CBeam 3D Imaging Platform is an FDA 510(k)-cleared platform designed to transform compatible 2D surgical C-arms into intraoperative 3D imaging systems, helping hospitals expand access to advanced imaging using infrastructure they already own. A position sensor attaches to the C-arm, allowing CBeam to combine positioning data with X-ray images acquired during a brief rotational scan and reconstruct them into 3D DICOM image datasets. This brings three-dimensional visualization of complex anatomy into the operating room to support surgical planning, navigation, and intraoperative assessment.

CBeam is currently indicated to provide 3D medical imaging during orthopedic and neurological surgical procedures where clinicians benefit from 3D visualization of complex anatomical structures, including high-contrast objects, bones, joints, maxillofacial anatomy, the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, pelvis, acetabulum, and fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
